Super XX Man "Volume IX" CD EP self-released Lovingly packaged in a silk-screened chipboard case, this collection of cover songs features Scott nodding respecfully to a handful of his influences: Buddy Holly, Roger Miller, Bruce Springsteen, Johnny Cash and even his mother, Jean Garred. The recording is sparse and intimate, perfectly showcasing Scott's warm tenor with accompaniment by little more than his acoustic guitar, ukulele and an occasional harmonica. The final duet with Scott's mother on a spiritual song she penned years ago is worth the price of the EP alone.
